Last wednesday, we invited Power FIT Gym to our school, as a sports initiative that aims to develop a health mindset on our students and staff, encouraging them to work hard and train for a better lifestyle. They were subject to a functional interval workout session designed for maximum calorie burn in the shortest amount of time, through a variety of exercises that incorporate cardio, strength, endurance, core, flexibility and functional movement. In this way, in addition to improving physical abilities such as strength, speed or endurance, with functional training we also work with other important capabilities for our day-to-day activities such as agility, mobility, stability, coordination or balance, also correcting our body posture.
This activity motivated our students to begin to consider joining a fitness gym or starting a workout plan to better improve their health. By generating a more conscious approach towards their integral well-being, students will adopt new habits of eating right, training and even working on their spiritual side. At Altamira we care about our students integral growth, we invest in their mindset and provide them with the necessary tools to excel in every aspect of their life in the twenty first century.
